Join us, and come and experience the Mountain biking Mecca that is Melrose! Melrose is deservedly getting a reputation for a ‘must visit’ MTB destination, and we can show you why. Just 3 hours drive from Adelaide, Melrose has over 60km of singletrack, and it is almost all accessible straight out of town- once you are there you can just ride out of town each day! Come with us and enjoy 3 days exploring argueably the best mountain biking spot in SA.
We will pick you up on Friday morning, and head up to Melrose. After a quick lunch stop for a bite to eat at the Stonehut Bakery, we will check into our accomodation at the Northstar, before heading off for an afternoon exploring the trails just up above town. This is where we find some really awesome singletrack, and lots of challenging obstacles to get you warmed up. We’ll also have some time for a little skills coaching so you are more comfortable on the trails, if needed. Then it’s time for a pint at the Northstar, followed by a pub meal at one of the two pubs in town.
On Saturday, we will head off on an epic ride to Bartagunyah, and the Whiskey Trail. We may also get the chance to explore trails not normally open to visitors. You will also get a chance to pop in and browse the cool bikes and gear for sale at Over The Edge Sports, one of the coolest bike shops in the country. Jake may even make you a coffee….. 
After a little lunch, it’s time to tackle a few of the other trails, and also maybe look at some more skills!
After another great days riding, it’s time for a few more beers at the Northstar, and another great meal at one of the pubs-but don’t make it too late, as we need to be up to squeeze one final ride in before we head back to Adelaide on Sunday morning! After one last blast on some of the more tricky trails (maybe finishing on Dodging bullets, or Greener Pastures) , we will grab lunch and then head back to Adelaide for around 5pm on Sunday evening, after a totally superb action-packed weekend.
Melrose weekenders cost $495 per person for the 3 day/2 night trip, and include transport, guiding, twin-share accommodation, 2 lunches and 2 breakfasts. Evening meals both nights are not included, but we suggest you join us for a meal at one of the pubs in town.
Bike hire is available- either grab one of the escapegoat hardtails, or treat yourself to one of OTE’s test bikes. Superb, but you may want to take it home! email us for costs.
