Mountain bike hire has now moved to our new shop – “The Goat Shed” – in the heart of the best MTB trails in South Australia
We now offer bike hire, along with great coffees, snacks, and MTB Day Trips near Adelaide in our new base in Belair National Park.
Adelaide trail bike hire from just $35 for half a day. We know what it’s like to get somewhere and be keen to hit the trails, but then struggle to find a decent bike to rent, so we are happy to rent our bikes out too. We only provide bikes we would be happy to ride ourselves, so you can be sure they will be great bikes, in good condition.
See below for our list of adult bikes, we also have a fleet of 20″ and 24″ kids mountain bikes, baby seats, and a kids’ trailer to hire, so there is something for everyone!
To Hire an MTB or Come on One of our MTB Tours?
Whilst we would always suggest it is better to join us on one of our guided trips — perhaps even on one of our epic multi-day MTB trips in South Australia[PW2] , we appreciate you may just want a bike for an afternoon, or an extra bike for visiting friends. Also, you may want to hold onto a bike for a day or so after having joined us on a trip. But do bear in mind it may be more cost-effective to join us for a guiding session including transport, bike hire AND guiding, starting from $109, especially if you want to avoid spending the day getting lost or trying to work out where the trails actually are on a 5-year-old map! And if you’d like to push your skills to the next level, we even offer a Mountain Bike Skills Training Course.
Our Adelaide mountain bike hire service now operates from our Goat Shed in Belair. All bikes need to be picked up during opening hours — unless pre-arranged. We strongly recommend that you pre-book your MTB hire so that you can avoid disappointment. Pick up MAY be available the evening before IF the bike is available.
Our MTB Hire Service Is Located In Belair National Park
We are conveniently located in Belair National Park, a 20-mins drive or train ride from the city near some of the best trails around- Belair has a nice mix of easy fire tracks for families and more technical trails on ‘The Adventure Loop’, and it’s just a short spin to the MTB trails of Sturt Gorge, Craigburn Farm, Mitcham and Shepherds Hill, and we can even provide you with maps of where to go. Pick up and drop off may also be possible. See the below link for our ride recommendations.
Pick up a bike, and grab a coffee and cake to go!
We also have a universal bike rack that will fit most cars to carry up to 3 bikes available to hire for $25 a day.
For the best South Australia trail info, we recommend using the Trailforks app on android or iphone. This will give you a GPS map with most of the local trails on.

The scenery on the way down from Lofty is so beautiful. Both tours highly recommended!
We had a great time doing the Lofty Descents tour with Ian. A really interesting way to see parts of Adelaide you wouldn't normally get to see.
