Mount Lofty MTB Trip

Ride from the summit of Mount Lofty on mountain bikes all the way down to Adelaide, though stunning native bush, and enjoy a visit to Cleland Wildlife Park along the way. You’re 100% guaranteed to spot koalas in their native environment, and see kangaroos and emus during the ride.

We will also explore trails by bike which have only recently been opened to cyclists. It’s downhill all the way. Cruise Ship Option

Our normal trip does not include cruise ship pick ups due to timing and distance from Outer Harbour, etc. However we can put an extra departure on leaving from the cruise ship terminal for $175 per person, operating for 4 or more riders. Arrive At Mount Lofty

We will pick you up in Central Adelaide and transport you to the summit of Mount Lofty, which at 710m is the highest point in the Mount Lofty Ranges, and offers stunning views of Adelaide, the Adelaide hills, and the plains below. From here it is downhill all the way back to Adelaide.

After a stop for photos, we will provide you with a good quality mountain bike and helmet, and make sure you are comfortable and happy with your bike.

Ride To Cleland Wildlife Park

From the start, it is a short ride though Cleland Conservation park to our first stop of the day, Cleland Wildlife park. A perfect chance to get comfortable on the bike before the big ride.

Say Hello To Kangaroos, Koalas And Emus

In Cleland Wildlife Park you will have a chance to wander at leisure and feed or pat kangaroos, wallabies, emus and many other native wildlife. You may even have the chance to pet a koala.

Here, we’ll have a little morning tea right here while you relax in the natural surroundings. Coffee, tea and cakes/snacks are all included.

The 18km Downhill Back To Adelaide

After we leave the wildlife park, we get to enjoy the best part of the whole trip. The ride through Cleland Conservation Park is absolutely stunning. It’s all downhill, and has some fun rough sections, along with other nice flat and fast bits!

It’s also an absolute money back guarantee you WILL see wild koalas as we ride through the park!

After about 10km we drop out into the suburbs of Adelaide, and we then have a final spin along some quiet back streets where you will see some lovely houses and suburban parks. Finally we will pop out into the Adelaide parklands at Victoria Park, where we get a great view back up to the summit of Mount Lofty, where we started 4 hours and 18km ago!
