The best way to describe our E-mountain bikes is to say they are FUN! Everyone that tries them has a massive smile on their faces, especially when the trails go UPHILL!
And to make things even easier, we now offer SELF-GUIDED tours! We will preload a GPS unit for you with a recommended route to avoid all the headache of working out where to go. Decide exactly what YOU want to do- easy spin around Belair National Park to spot koalas, a winery tour of Mt Lofty and the Adelaide hills, or an action-packed circumnavigation of Sturt Gorge – it’s up to you! Ride at your own pace on a ride suitable for YOU!
We have 3 main self-guided e-bike packages available to book online. Pick up from Adelaide City may be available on request.
Self-Guided Wine E-Bike Tour
Our most popular self-guided tour! Start off with a warm up spin through Belair National Park, before heading into the Adelaide Hills. Choose to head up to Mt Lofty and the Piccadilly Valley for a longer ride, or cruise though Mark Oliphant Conservation Park, before enjoying a brilliant wine tasting and lunch at one of our favourite hills wineries. Return back a different way through the hills- ride 30-50km mainly offroad and on quiet back roads. Add another winery if you are game!
Suggested Itinerary
We have a few ride options for you and will recommend a route depending on your wishes, but all options include:
- After a coffee and quick test ride around the Birdie loop, start off with a ride through Belair National Park- either an easier spin for some koala spotting and sightseeing, or do the Adventure Loop for the adrenaline junkies!
- Head off into the Adelaide Hills through Upper Sturt, and ride through the beautiful Mark Oliphant Conservation Park or into Cleland Conservation Park and Mt Lofty
- Arrive at Deviation Road winery or Tapanappa winery in time for a guided tasting of their sparkling wines, and a light cheese Platter (additional food can be purchased if required)
- Head off to a second winery if you have the time and energy!
- Head back to the Goat Shed via a few other fun back roads and dirt tracks, and a final descent back into Belair National Park.
Departure time: 9-10am from our Goat Shed in Belair National Park
Finish: 3pm approx (start and finish times can be varied if needed)

Self-Guided Nature-Based E-Bike Tour
This one is for those wanting an easy spin to explore Belair National Park and surrounds. Spot Koalas, Kangaroos and Emu’s as you roll around the park, following our recommended routes, and enjoy a coffee and cake at the Goat shed too!

- Craigburn Farm, Sturt Gorge and Shepherds Hill for a longer epic ride on singletrack
- Head up to Cleland and Mount Lofty for a super hilly easy ride getting the most out of the e-bikes, for some awesome views!
- Or pick another ride or location, tailored to you!

Self-Guided Adventure Tour
This one is for the adventurous! Grab one of our Full Suspension e-bikes, and head off towards Sturt Gorge and Shepherds Hill Recreation Park for an exhilarating ride on technical fun singletrack, with stunning views down towards the Ocean. Ride 40+km and explore this amazing part of South Australia like a local, with a preloaded GPS with the best routes already loaded! Take lunch with you, or stop off at the Goat Shed for a Toastie!

About Our E-Mountain Bikes
Our E-MTBs are great quality, bosch powered pedal-assist bikes, with great brakes, and 10-speed or 11 speed gearing. Most are fun hardtails which are perfect for rolling around the Adelaide Hills. With a range of up to 100km you shouldn’t run out of power either! We also have some Focus Thron dual suspension e-bikes if you really want some fun!
These pedal-assist-powered bikes have 5 levels of power that is only given when you pedal, so it boosts your efforts, making pedaling easy. They cut out power when you get to speeds of 25km, but you can still obviously go downhill much faster!
