Based In The NZ South Island Adventure capital, Queenstown
We will be based in the world famous adventure capitial of the South Island, Queenstown. There is some amazing riding around the area, and Queenstown is home to the famous Skyline MTB park, with 27 trails over varied terrain coving 30km and a 450m descent, all serviced by the skyline gondola.
Add to this the amazing potential for heli-mtb and 4wd shuttles, and the riding options are mind-blowing.
We will ride for 5 days- 2 heli-bike days, 1 day of 4wd shuttles, and 2 days at the Skyline Park.
You will also have a day free to relax or to make the most of all the other adventure options available at Queenstown (or ride, of course if you want to!)
An Unforgettable Biking Trip
A strong level of fitness and mountain bike experience is strongly recommended. Accommodation will be either comfortable motel accommodation or a comfortable holiday home, with twin share rooms, subject to exact numbers.
Check out the video of what the riding is like!
Check out the video below from Flow MTB- we will be riding most of these trails.
The Escapegoat Difference
With over 4000 happy guests, we know how to make sure you have a great time.
We specialise in small group experiences– you won’t find yourself in a group with 20 others.
We have been operating since 2008 and are the only business operating with an British Cycling level 3 MTB leader qualified instructor- this is a significant qualification, and not just a 2 day course to teach school kids to ride bikes.
We are a fully accredited tourism business and a licensed tour operator, and are the only commercial tour operator currently licensed by DEWNR to operate MTB tours in their Adelaide National Parks. We are also a licensed Passenger Transport business.
We have top-quality high end equipment and are supported by Norco bikes so you can be sure you will be riding great bikes- our hire bikes are high end bikes, and are almost all brand new models.
Ian is a qualified skills coach- not just able to ride well, we are trained to TEACH. Just because someone is a good rider it does not necessarily make them a good teacher. He is also qualified to teach MTBA skills instructors.
We received the “Certificate of Excellence” from Trip Advisor based on our continued 5* ratings and reviews for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015, and consistently voted the best outdoor activity in SA!
We had a great time doing the Lofty Descents tour with Ian. A really interesting way to see parts of Adelaide you wouldn't normally get to see.
The Lofty Descent Tour was the highlight of our Adelaide trip. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the cycle which was easy yet exciting.
