For Sale, One 2009 Medium Specialized Stumpjumper Elite. $950
This was purchased in 2009 (RRP at the time was $4,500 or so).
Ian used this for about 18 months as his main bike, then Deborah acquired it, and it has been her bike for the last 2 1/2 years- about the same time she had Charlotte! So it really hasn’t seen much use in the last few years. It’s been to the Alps a few times, otherwise in the last few years it has only been used a few times a month. Reason for sale is I made the mistake of letting Deb ride my 4 month old Scott Spark, and she decided she needed a new bike for her birthday!
The frame has a few scratches and rub marks (mainly from travelling) and the bike has had a few changes from original spec, most obvious is the wheelset is now a mavic 717 rim on Hope Pro II hubs, which Deborah likes for the nice noise! I have just replaced a few frame bearings, the headset is pretty new, newish chain, cassette and middle chain ring. Big ring prob needs a change at some point, but Deb never used it!
The bike is in great working order, shocks are in perfect working order, and the Talas forks work fine with adjustment from 140/120/100mm travel- the bike just is a few years old and has a few scratches!
