Day 1 January 17th 2009

And so, it was time to forget that the festive season had even happened, and time to focus on 2009. This week we had 3 new recruits-Nicholas, Roger and Lorien, raring to go and get stuck into some skills and riding…..

As is traditional with our day 1 courses, it was firstly time for a crack at the old challenge course, before having a crack at a few other exercises and skills.

Deb was there with moral support, whilst we all had a good look at using our brakes and gears properly too, and looking at moving about on the bike too.

Then it was time for the highlight of the day, a nice relaxing lunch. Oh, and a quick detour to help the Ambulance Service get into the park- but NOT for any of us. No, just one of the guys on the dirt jumps had got a bit carried away, so did literally get carried away….!

Then after lunch it was time to get down to the wheel lifting, wheelies, and trackstands. Loads of fun!
